La Prendera (The Prairie) is a piece of land 1800m above sea level. For the last 17 years it’s owner, Benigno Sanchez Pajoy, has been working tirelessly to turn this piece of agricultural pasture into a coffee farm. Benigno is a bit of a hero really. Not only has he managed to improve the life of his family by increasing the income from this coffee farm; he has also managed to produce a winning lot for Cup of Excellence, La Prendera microlot, Cup of Excellence lot 18, Colombia.
We are absolutely thrilled that from tomorrow we will have this Cup of Excellence on sale as our single origin coffee of the week here at Church St (£4.50). This coffee is stunning, with base notes of toffee and umami and a long lingering finish, it’s definitely a cup to try.
