April’s book was the much lauded Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson. The jacket sleeve boasts that the book is a journey through the madness industry, as Ronson meets diagnosed psychopaths incarcerated in one of the country’s psychiatric prisons, CEOs of defunct companies, ex-dictators and the man that created the psychopath test itself.
After a month where everyone finished the book this time the split of those who finished the book was a little more pronounced. The beginning mystery of the book put off a few, but those that persevered enjoyed the book. Although the book’s title focused on psychopaths, the group felt the book was more a look at mental health more widely. Some people felt the book was more a collection of articles looking loosely at a number of different elements rather than a concentrated focus on psychopathy. But everyone enjoyed the easy to read nature of the book.
