We have all been busy bees with The Mailbox opening and all of the other exciting things that have been going on over the last few weeks, trips to Coffee Festival etc etc. However, despite all of that our little Urban Coffee Co. workers have been planning and getting ready to celebrate the Jubilee weekend with you. There are going to be exciting competitions where every 60 minutes we’ll be giving away goodies, not to mention bunting, flags and of course Church St’s Big Screen showing all the festivities.
Lyndon in the Kitchen has also been working flat out preparing a Jubilee food range for the weekend. Over the bank holiday we are putting the ciabbatta away and telling the foccacia where to go (ahem!) as we serve our favourite traditional sanrnies to eat in our take away. From Coronation Chicken to the humble Ploughaman’s all in triangles – as sandwiches were made to be. Baker Beth Hopkins who has started baking delicious home-made cakes for us in our own kitchen is also getting in to the swing with Traditional Victoria sponges, scones and other tea time favourites.
Down at JQ not only will we have all your favourite tea time treats, we will also be adding Great British Breakfast items on to the menu over the bank holiday… including an Urban Coffee Company Full English… don’t get us wrong we love our fancy brunches but sometimes the good ol’things are the best and what better time to show off the best of British food than to celebrate Her Majesties Diamond Jubilee. If you’ve got friends or family staying over this Bank holiday why not show off and bring them to the #JQ for a good ol’ brekkie. For more information, or to book a table for breakfast email firstname.lastname@example.org. Also good to note-if you want to celebrate without actually watching it, the #JQ will be perfect as we don’t have a TV there… ;)
