As we start looking forward to the nights’ drawing in, wearing stripey scarves, hats and warm woollen coats it’s important to remember that autumn is not all about lovely walks down the road, kicking leaves and picking up conkers. No, autumn has it’s dark side too…So, as we start to think about Halloween and all that apple bobbing fun, we’ve settled on the classic Horror-Drama The Picture of Dorian Gray for October’s Film and Supper Club!
The 1945 film The Picture of Dorian Gray is based on Oscar Wilde’s 1890 novel of the same name. Released in March 1945 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the film is directed by Albert Lewin and stars George Sanders as Lord Henry Wotton and Hurd Hatfield as Dorian Gray.
October’s Film and Supper Club is on Friday 18th, supper is served from 7pm and the film starts at 8pm. Tickets are £15 and include supper, a drink (wine, beer or coffee) and popcorn! For more info please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
