Yes peeps, the greatest tennis tournament in the world returns this Monday (24th June) where you will be able to kick back and relax whilst enjoying the action at our Church Street emporium right through until the men’s final on Sunday 7th July (with the exception of Sunday 30th June when they have a well deserved break!)

With the roof now in place over centre court you can be assured of play from 1pm right through into the evening, so even if it is a bit murky outside you can still enjoy the most English of traditions with us!

Wimbledon 2008Some of you may have been lucky enough to catch the tennis at ours in previous years and you’re in for a treat once again! We will have strawberries with lashings of cream, English scones and our wonderfully well-received Pimms (with all of the trimmings!) or, why not treat yourself to a glass or two of champagne?!

With the men’s game in the midst of a golden age there is much to look forward to this year… Will Roger Federer enjoy one more majestic triumph at his favourite tournament to make it a record 8 Wimbledon titles or will the powerful duo of Djokovic and Nadal dominate? Serena Williams will be looking to cement her position as the world number one with a 6th title and we could even see the first British winner since Fred Perry in 1936 with Andy Murray only falling at the final hurdle last year and Laura Robson getting to the 4th Round of the US Open last September.

All will be revealed over the next two weeks and we’ve even got a shiny new TV so you will be able to get a good view of the action as you slurp on your Pimms and gorge yourself on our beautiful strawberries!!
