beerBeer!! We all love a nice beer after a hard day’s work or even a nice relaxed sunny Sunday, any excuse really. What’s even better is the number of micro-breweries that are taking beer to a whole new level and perfecting their craft.

Just the same as coffee, all beer tastes different and over here at Church Street we have got our hands on a small (but perfectly formed) selection of the finest quality beer from around the world.

We have Birra Moretti, a traditional beer whose recipe has almost stayed the same since 1859. It’s a bottom fermented beer with a golden colour which is produced by the malt which is used.

Next up is Brew Dog’s Punk IPA. Brew Dog is probably one of Scotland’s best craft brewers; they have created the world’s strongest beer “The end of History” at a whopping 55%abv and have made many other hand crafted beers. This Indian Pale Ale (IPA) is one of their “lighter” IPA’s and is refreshing with a kick. We’re also happy to be stocking them due to them now having a place of their own in Birmingham so we want to support them as much as we can!

Following that is Samuel Adams, one of many craft breweries leading the revolution of American Beers since 1984. They wanted to achieve beer quality beer and have over 50 different beer styles which are ever changing. The Boston Lager is arguably their most influential and is made with 2 different hops to give it a dark caramel and robust flavour.  This is the original craft American lager.

Finally you cannot leave without trying a great Belgium Beer (we wouldn’t want to disappoint). Vedett Extra white beer is far from a traditional Belgium white beer. It was launched in 1998 and is brewed by Duval Moortgat, an independent producer of authentic speciality beers. It tastes surprisingly crisp with hints of lemon and orange zest and has a very dry finish…Arguably this is the one you would try on a nice hot summer’s day (it’s not too far away we promise!).

So….now you know more how about coming in to try some of our delicious and carefully selected beers and to top that off we are doing drinks for grown up’s loyalty cards! SO come down to Church Street and chill out with a beer. Open Thursdays & Fridays until 9.30pm.
