April’s Book Club!
6th May 2011

After months of waiting we have made it into the final few days before the wedding of the decade…. (No…. I don’t mean the rumoured 105th marriage of Katie Price!) I am of course talking about the Royal Wedding!

So far there are estimations that around 1.5 million visitors / well-wishers will descend upon our wonderful capital on the day of the wedding itself, so with that in mind it would be safe to say that in order to get a good viewing spot of the royal procession you should have been camping out at your chosen spot since November 2008!

Now….. if like me, your invitation has unfortunately been lost in the aether of the great British postal system do not fear! Urban Coffee are to the rescue!

I for one am a keen royalist and have been for many years, but even if I could, I don’t think I would even attempt to travel to London on the day! Instead I will be one of the estimated 2 billion people worldwide who will be watching it live on TV.

From 10am on Friday 29th April at our Church Street Emporium we will be holding a Royal Wedding Celebration Day!

We will be showing the whole wedding from start to finish on our TV upstairs and will have plenty of offers and promotions including; Creamed Scones, Traditional Victoria Sponge cake and of course Proper British Pimms.

So ladies… it’s time to dig out your big hats and put on your finest dress… and gentlemen you can dust off the expensive suit you have been saving for an occasion like this! And join us for a day of celebration!.

Who needs an invitation anyway? I know where I would rather be…. sat in comfort at Church Street with a glass of Pimms and a Creamed Scone watching the millions of people in London straining to see the Procession! While giggling to myself about what they are missing out on by not coming to Urban Coffee instead!

So remember, if that invitation does finally arrive you know what to do – rip it up and throw it in the bin, you have had a much better offer!
